How to choose a blender for nuts and nut paste: recommendations and rating of models for grinding solid products

2

1The preparation of many dishes is not complete without chopped nuts, which are quite difficult to obtain when crushed by hand, for example, in a mortar.

Of course, there are special shredders for this purpose, but experienced chefs successfully use blenders.

A high-quality powerful blender is able to easily and almost instantly chop any nuts, so its use is fully justified.

A blender can not only crush the kernels of nuts, but also prepare a mass of a homogeneous consistency, so it can be used to make a nut paste.

How to choose a blender for nuts and nut paste?

Blenders designed for chopping nuts, as well as other solid ingredients, for example, some dried fruits, are characterized by increased power and strength.

When purchasing such a blender, you should rely on the following things:

  • Power. The blender's performance should be high enough, otherwise it simply can not cope with hard nuts. The lowest power bar can be called the value of 800 watts. To cook nut paste or nut milk, a much stronger device is required, its engine must have a power of at least 2500 watts.
  • Number of speeds. Dear blenders are equipped not only with a speed controller, but also with special automatic modes for the preparation of a particular raw material, when selected, the device itself sets the necessary settings for the speed and time of grinding.
  • Nozzles. The blender for grinding solid products must be equipped with knives made of high-quality stainless steel. This metal provides the greatest strength and is perfect for working with nuts.
  • Bowl. It should also be made of durable material, since its walls experience significant pressure during operation of the device. Often the cup is made of tritan - a particularly resistant, safe and heat-resistant plastic. Polycarbonate bowls are more fragile, in addition, they are not recommended for contact with food, since polycarbonate is capable of releasing the toxic substance bisphenol A. The volume of the bowl in powerful devices is quite high, it is quite enough for home cooking products.
  • overheat protection. Such a productive device consumes a lot of electricity and quickly heats up, so you need to periodically take breaks in work. This problem can be solved with an automatic engine control system, which, when overheated, turns it off for a while.
Other parameters and functions of the blender, such as material and body size, type of control, automatic modes, timer, speed controller, are optional. They can be chosen at your discretion.

One of the important factors contributing to the final decision, of course, is the price of the device: for such productive models, it can range from 15 to 60 thousand rubles.

An increase in value usually indicates an improvement in the quality and functionality of the blender, but this law is not always fair. Some devices have an unreasonably high price, which is explained by the popular brand and its desire to recapture the money invested in the production and promotion of goods.

I was presented with a Braun JB 5160 blender. I liked it, it’s a very convenient and multi-functional device. You can grind the same product to a different consistency, the current as the device operates at 11 speeds. The more you set the speed, the greater the degree of grinding. The disadvantages indicate a high level of noise, but I would not say that it works very loudly. And it’s convenient to use.

  2. Olga is talking

I have a professional stationary blender Rawmid Classic, powerful and reliable. I use it to make smoothies, cocktails and sauces, and other liquid foods. I absolutely do not like how my blender interrupts nuts and seeds without water or with a little water. The half-ground nut mass is hammered into the corners of the bowl, and the knife spins idle. It’s very difficult to get it all out, as the bowl is high and it’s hard to get under the knife. To grind nuts, it is better to use a nut grinder or a powerful blender with a low bowl and long knives.
