Types of devices

Hansa freestanding electric stoves have an upper part - a cooking hob, and a lower part - an oven.

And if the ovens of such stoves by default are produced with an electric type of heating, then the working surface can differ and is divided into 3 types:

  1. Cast iron hobwhere on the enamel coating there are round burners made of a special alloy (the so-called pancakes).
  2. Vitroceramic cookers with Hi-Light burners. The hob works according to this principle: under the influence of electricity, the tape heating element (Hi-Light) heats up and subsequently heats the glass ceramics. From it the heat goes to the dishes, and already from the dishes to the food.
  3. Electric cookers with vitroceramic surface and induction hobs. The induction work surface does not heat up to high temperatures, but remains slightly warm. That is why nothing burns on such stoves. Thanks to its principle of operation, induction hobs are “smarter” than others. The heat in them is released exactly with the diameter of the bottom of the dishes. The main advantages of induction are: quick heating, easy care and 100% safety.

What to look for when buying?

Before choosing an electric stove, you should pay attention to the following parameters:

  1. Work surface material. The enameled surface has been around for decades. But new technologies do not stand still. And as practice and customer reviews show, the glass-ceramic surface is much more convenient to use, care and safety (especially with induction heating elements).
  2. Number of burners - for freestanding Hansa electric stoves remains unchanged - 4. But some models have a zone for expanding burners, that is, it is divided into several circles, different in diameter. And this is convenient when using dishes of different diameters.
  3. Oven Modes. The bigger, the better. Some Hansa cooker models have separate top and bottom heating, defrosting products, electric grills, convection, oven cleaning, etc.
  4. Decide if you need convection in the oven. It is responsible for the constant circulation of air throughout the oven and allows the dish to bake evenly. Not all Hansa models have this feature.
  5. Dimensions. In Hansa models, the difference in size is presented in width. It is 50 cm and 60 cm.
  6. Control. Mechanical (using the rotary switches), touch (using the buttons) and mixed (using the switches and buttons).
  7. Oven cleaning - It can be traditional (using a damp cloth and detergents), pyrolytic (oven self-cleaning system) or catalytic (cleaning when the stove is heated).
  8. Plate Options - in different models are also different. There may be a different number of baking sheets, a different number of glasses in the oven door, different guides for baking sheets (telescopic, stationary), drawers for dishes under the oven.
  9. Timer and auto-off functions are not superfluous.. They will help you control the cooking time.
